Sharing Our Stories

I just wanted to say how special the opportunity has been to have an online school like this in our district. And I think it's really important to have one like this because some people cannot go to in person school for one reason or another... because they're pursuing some kind of educational or athletic goal, or they have a job, or they need to support their family, or some people just really learn better in a non-traditional environment. And I just wanted to say that for me, Discovery really allowed me to continue my athletic career as well as just keeping up with school and actually doing well in school.

Raising four future citizens of the world has shown me just how powerful a rising tide can be. In BSD, that tide is the Bellevue Schools Foundation. My children have benefited, directly and indirectly, from preschool tuition support for families, mental health resources, and early computer science education that prepared them for the world they’re stepping into. When BSF lifts our district, every family rises with it, and every child gains the chance to thrive.

Thanks to your encouragement and flexibility, Maria has been able to thrive both academically and athletically. Bellevue Digital Discovery has given her the opportunity to pursue her gymnastics career at a high level while continuing to receive a rigorous and meaningful education. We are deeply grateful for everything you do to support her journey. 

I am extremely grateful for all the support and generosity I have received from BSD teachers and staff members. Bellevue Digital Discovery has allowed me to have the best of both worlds by being able to create a flexible school schedule and pursue my goals in golf. If it were not for the support and opportunities provided by the district, I would not be where I am today.

What do students like most about studying at Bellevue Digital Discovery?
