Dear Bellevue Digital Discovery community,

Welcome to the last two days of the school year! Here are some PTSA updates we wanted to share before school’s out for the summer.

MAY 29 PTSA MEETING RECAP

Thanks to those who joined our last PTSA meeting of the school year. We heard several updates from President Anna Rawlings, Principal Tom Duenwald, and ASB student leaders about this year’s activities and ideas for next year’s plans. Members also elected new officers and approved a budget for 2025-26. Let us know if you have any questions about what was covered.

CLASS OF 2025 GRADUATION CEREMONY

A huge congratulations to the Class of 2025! This year’s graduation ceremony took place on Monday, June 16 and you can see some of the photos on the school and PTSA Facebook pages. The PTSA covered the cost of some of the décor to enhance the festivities for both online and in-person participants. We are so proud of our seniors and can’t wait to see what they do next!

MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AWARD

Digital Discovery PTSA is pleased to announce it won a bronze Membership Growth Award from the Washington State PTA in recognition of our increased membership this year. A big thank you to all of our members for making our PTSA possible. We look forward to continuing to grow our membership so we can do even more for our school community next year!

STAY CONNECTED THIS SUMMER

Stay tuned for details about Digital Discovery’s first online Coffee Corner with Principal Tom, hosted by the PTSA to kick off back-to-school season. We also encourage families to stay connected to the PTSA over the summer via Facebook. If you’re planning any informal summer activities or gatherings (whether online or in-person), we’re happy to share them on the page to help families connect.

If you’re not already a member, please consider signing up! Open to adults ($30), students ($10), and teachers and staff ($10). If cost is a hardship, please email us for financial assistance.

You belong in the PTSA if you: 

• Want to connect with other Digital Discovery students, families, and staff
• Believe that online students deserve additional support, enrichment, and fun
• Would like to share your voice and have a seat at the table with school decision-makers

URGENT CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

As a new PTSA, we need volunteers to help coordinate events and communications. All work is done online, on your own time, and we provide training. Please consider volunteering for:

• Website & Social Media - (1-2 people, approx. 6-10 hours, Dec-Feb): Help us establish our website and social media presence
• Event Coordination -  (1-2 people, approx. 5-10 hours, Dec-May): Assist in planning fun and engaging online events for students and families
